Food Law Society

The Food Law Society is a student-run organization at Maryland Carey Law that encourages and fosters on-campus dialogue and community-based initiatives targeting issues in food law and policy on international, national, state, and local levels.

Food-related issues are often the cause of public health concerns, environmental degradation, and socio-economic divides, raising broader questions of environmental justice, race, income inequality, economic development, and human rights. FLS supports a network of graduate students, professionals, and food-lovers who support dynamic law and policy that promotes healthy, safe, sustainable, and equitable food systems.
