Melanie K. Snyder is Professor of Law at Stevenson University. She began teaching as an adjunct professor at Anne Arundel Community College in 1999 and at (then) Villa Julie College in 2000. In 2002, she joined the full-time faculty at Stevenson University, where she teaches Legal Research and Writing I and II, Problems in Litigation, Civil Litigation and Pleading, Mock Trial, Contracts, and Torts, among other courses. Ms. Snyder is also the pre-law advisor at Stevenson. Prior to teaching, Ms. Snyder clerked for the Honorable John C. Eldridge on the Maryland Court of Appeals and worked for six years as a litigator and employment law attorney with Lerch, Early & Brewer, LLC., in Bethesda, Maryland. She has also worked for the Litigation Division of the Baltimore City Attorney General's Office. Ms. Snyder received her B.A. from Miami University of Ohio and her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review. She is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars.
