Erin A. Risch joined IAT Insurance Group in August 2023 as a claims counsel, handling management liability claims throughout the country involving employment practices liability and directors and officers liability. She works with insureds and manages defense counsel in the litigation of these matters, including litigation strategy, analysis of liability and damages, and effective case resolution through mediation, arbitration, and trial. Prior to joining IAT, she served as acting bar counsel and a deputy bar counsel for Maryland’s Office of Bar Counsel where she investigated and litigated grievance complaints against attorneys in Maryland and managed the office of approximately 30 attorneys, investigators and support personnel. Before joining the Office of Bar Counsel, she was a principal at Eccleston & Wolf, P.C., where she concentrated her practice on the defense of professionals and represented attorneys before the Attorney Grievance Commission. She has lectured throughout the state on legal ethics and risk management. She earned her BA from the College of the Holy Cross in 2003, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2006.
