Sakkara Turpin is a senior compliance attorney at Venable LLP. Before joining Venable, she practiced corporate and commercial real estate law at a Pikesville based law firm and worked as an assistant solicitor in the Baltimore City Law Department’s Contracts practice group. Turpin is a graduate of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, holds an LLM in Business Law and Compliance from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and maintains status as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional. In addition, her research on privatization as an alternative to defunding the police was recently published in Volume 84 of the Albany Law Review.
