Shari Silver Derrow is a public defender for the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Maryland, where she has practiced since 2015. As a public defender, Shari represents clients facing federal criminal charges throughout all phases of the criminal process from indictment to appeal to post-conviction motions challenging clients’ convictions and sentences.
Prior to joining the Federal Public Defender, Shari clerked for the Honorable Andre M. Davis on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the Honorable Catherine C. Blake on the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
Shari received her J.D. from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law and her B.A. from Vassar College.
