Mr. Kobrin currently serves as an Assistant Attorney General detailed as counsel to the Maryland State Board of Elections. His practice consists of litigating matters on behalf of the Board in state and federal courts as well as advising the Board on any legal questions it may have. Previously, Mr. Kobrin practiced both trial and appellate litigation as an Assistant Public Defender with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender.

After graduating from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2011, Mr. Kobrin clerked for The Honorable Mary Ellen Barbera of the Maryland Court of Appeals. While in school, Mr. Kobrin served as President of the Moot Court Board, a writing fellow, a research assistant, and Coordinator of the Peer Advisor Program. Mr. Kobrin has taught various courses at the school of law as an adjunct professor since 2014.
