Andrew D. Levy (JD, University of Maryland School of Law; BA, Indiana University, Bloomington) is a partner at the Baltimore-based litigation boutique Brown, Goldstein & Levy, LLP, where his practice includes a wide variety of civil, criminal, and appellate matters in both state and federal courts. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America in eight categories: White Collar Criminal Defense, Commercial Litigation, 'Bet-the-Company' Litigation, Civil Rights Law, Labor & Employment Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, Appellate Practice, and Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Plaintiffs. In 2018 he was named one of Maryland’s top 10 Super Lawyers. In 2003 he was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and in 2019 a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.

Among the professional recognition Mr. Levy has received are two Legal Excellence Awards from the Maryland Bar Foundation, Advancement of the Rights of the Disadvantaged (2000) and Advancement of Public Understanding of the Law (2012); the Evening Program Service Award from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, and the Benjamin L. Cardin Pro Bono Service Award from its Alumni Association; the Stanley S. Herr Advocacy Leadership Award from the Arc of Baltimore; the Robert Dole Award from Volunteers for Medical Engineering, and Mosaic Community Service’s Visionary Award. On the occasion of the centennial of the Maryland Legal Aid Society in 2011 it recognized him as one of 100 “Human Rights and Justice Champions,” and in 2013 the Maryland Office of the Public Defender named him a “Champion of Justice.”
The diversity of Mr. Levy’s practice is reflected in the variety of courses he has taught as a long-time member of the School of Law’s adjunct faculty, including Evidence, Torts, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, Trial Practice, Maryland Practice & Procedure, and Appellate Advocacy. Mr. Levy has been voted Outstanding Adjunct Professor of the Year three times, in two different subjects: 2007-2008 (Criminal Law), 2008-2009 (Torts), and 2009-2010 (Torts).
