Mia Condé

Bio
Mia Condé, a native of Princeton, New Jersey, is a third-year law student on the Business Law Track at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies from Loyola University Maryland, where she developed strong cross-cultural literacy and communication skills that continue to inform her perspective as a law student and future attorney.
Currently, Mia is a Graduate Student Consultant at Columbia Law School’s Center for Public Research and Leadership, where she studies education governance and supports client-driven reform initiatives. Mia's interest in the intersection of law and education was first sparked during her experience at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. While interning in the Child & Family Services Division, Mia gained firsthand insight into the critical role schools play in child welfare prevention and reporting, inspiring her to explore the legal and structural frameworks that promote safe and equitable learning environments.
During her 1L summer, Mia served as a Law Clerk in the Office of the General Counsel at Leadership for Educational Equity, where she researched campaign finance law and emerging nonprofit regulations in support of the organization’s policy and leadership initiatives. During her 2L summer, Mia served as a Legal Fellow in the Office of the General Counsel at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, where she observed firsthand how inequities in education underpin many challenges within the criminal justice system.
At Carey Law, Mia was a member of the Bankruptcy Moot Court Team, Secretary for Students Supporting the Women’s Law Center, and a Fellow in the President’s Entrepreneurial Fellowship. Mia aspires to leverage her interdisciplinary experience to advance equitable and sustainable solutions at the intersection of law, education, and business.
