Bio

Robert Ayres grew up in Alexandria, Virginia and is a member of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law's Class of 2025. Robert's interests include real estate transactions, corporate transactions, securities regulation, and others. During his 1L summer, Robert served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Richard D. Bennett of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. For the summer of 2024, Robert will be serving as a Student Trainee (Law) in the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

Prior to law school, Robert earned his B.A. in History from Clemson University in 2020, with a minor in Economics. Additionally, Robert served as a staff member in the United States House of Representatives for two years.

Outside of the classroom, Robert is an active member of the Maryland Carey Law community, serving as both a Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal of Business & Technology Law and Secretary of the Business Law Society.
