Tyler Charpentier
Bio
Tyler Charpentier attended West Virginia University in 2016 after receiving a scholarship for his FIRST Robotics team’s winning performance at a competition hosted by the university. Although he maintains an enthusiasm for engineering, Tyler discovered a passion for American history during his college studies. He wrote his capstone paper on the re-election of President Lincoln during the Civil War. After graduating a semester early in 2019 with a B.A. in history and a minor in political science, he found himself job searching during the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Finding employment at Costco Wholesale, one of the few essential businesses still open and hiring, he worked through the pandemic and was quickly offered a permanent full-time position in major sales. Tyler saved up money to attend law school for over a year until he started at Maryland Carey Law in the fall of 2021. Now, after developing an interest in contracts and property law, he looks forward to building the foundations of a professional career.
