Michelle K. Lim
Bio
Michelle is a member of the Class of 2023 at the University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School Law. She earned her bachelor's degree in Government and Politics and Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. Before coming to law school, she worked at the Maryland General Assembly as a legislative aide to Delegate Mary Lehman and the Senate Finance Committee.
At Carey Law, she acts as a notes and comments editor for the Maryland Law Review, Volume 82. She is also serving her second term as the Executive Treasurer of the Student Bar Association. Michelle has competed in multiple competitions for the National Trial Team and has received the Maryland Association for Justice’s Trial Advocacy Scholarship. She has previously externed for the Office of the Attorney General, Courts and Judicial Affairs Division and for the Honorable Paul W. Grimm of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. Most recently, Michelle joined McGuireWoods’ 2022 Summer Associate class.
Michelle’s interests are currently on the litigation-end of business law; specifically, securities litigation and financial litigation.
