Leah is from Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Widener University magna cum laude with a major in Business Operations Management and a minor in Human Resources. Leah began on the Business Law Track which allowed her to grow in leadership by serving as the Vice President of the Business Law Society. She started off on the Thurgood Marshall National Trial Team (TMNTT) where her team won 1st place in the Regional Mock Trial Competition becoming the first TMNTT at UMB Carey Law to win first place at this competition. She then transitioned onto the National Trial Team and is currently serving as Judges Committee Co-Chair. In addition to her leadership and trial advocacy, she has also served as Lawyers of Color Fellow and Ambassador. Most recently, Leah worked as Global Compliance Investigations (GCI) Intern at Zimmer Biomet where she completed assignments working with the corporation’s GCI team, Legal team, and Due Diligence team.
