Bio
Chelsea Banister Millington is a Donald Gaines Murray Fellow and a visiting assistant professor of law. She teaches Trademarks and Unfair Competition, Contract Drafting, and Lawyering I and II.
Professor Millington previously worked as an associate at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP in Washington, D.C., where she focused her practice on trademark litigation and prosecution, as well as general complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Kilpatrick, she clerked in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.
Professor Millington received her JD with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law and her BA with highest distinction in Global Studies from the University of North Carolina. While attending law school, she was a staff member for the North Carolina Law Review and a member of the Broun National Trial Team. She also received a Certificate in International Business Law from the Université Jean Moulin Lyon III in Lyon, France.
Prior to law school, Professor Millington worked for an international human rights agency in Washington, D.C. and Lusaka, Zambia.
