At the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, students study Restorative Justice Practice and learn an alternative to traditional, punitive methods of discipline and conflict resolution. Through a partnership with M-LAW program—a collaboration between the Carey School of Law and the University of Maryland, College Park, under the MPower umbrella—a Restorative Justice Practices class was taught to undergrads in the fall of 2024. The interactive, experience-based course equipped students with the skills to resolve conflicts and foster healing in various situations throughout their lives.
