Professor Amanda Pustilnik spoke on the first of five panels hosted by the University of Texas at 2024’s South by Southwest Conference. Professor Pustilnik spoke on “Brain-Computer Interface: Bridging Technology and Healthcare,” sharing her expert thoughts on the current legal framework regulating Brain-Computer Interface (or BCI) technology. She noted that regulation in this area is comparable to “a new highway system overlayed on existing rules and regulations.”
