On February 5, Professor Matiangai Sirleaf published a book chapter on “White Health and International Law” in Race, Racism and International Law (Devon Carbado, Kimberlé Crenshaw, Justin Desautels-Stein & Chantal Thomas eds., forthcoming 2024). This chapter “argues that the primacy given to White health is one of the animating purposes behind the emergence of the global public health regime” and analyzes the “theoretical, legal and policy implications of the persistence of coloniality in global health.”
