Each year, the Business Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) honors a rising third-year law student who has excelled in their studies and demonstrated a commitment to business law with a scholarship. Over the summer, Randi Rubinstein '22 was selected as the 2021 recipient of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Business Law Section Steven J. Mandell Scholarship Award.
“I am extremely grateful for all the opportunities that attending Maryland Carey Law has given to me allowing me to pursue a successful career in business law,” Randi said, “and it was an incredible honor to be recognized by both Maryland Carey Law’s Business Law Program and the Maryland State Bar Association’s Business Law Section.”
While at Maryland Carey Law, Randi has held a number of important posts and positions including being the 1L Representative and the President of the Business Law Society, serving as a Business Law Fellow in the Summer, and participating in the Transactional Law Team. Upon graduation, Randi plans to continue the journey she began at Maryland Carey Law at Venable, LLP in Washington, D.C.
Michael Van Alstine, Director of Business Law Program and the Francis King Carey Professor in Business Law beamed, “I could not imagine a student who is more deserving of the great honor bestowed upon her by the Maryland State Bar Association’s Business Law Section. I’ve known Randi for two years now and it has been my great pleasure to watch this bright and talented law student grow and mature on the path to becoming an exceptional lawyer.”
