Advanced Legal Research: A.i. Skills for Lawyers

Course Description

This course introduces students to the use of artificial intelligence in modern legal research and analysis. Emphasizing practical skills, the course trains students to work with advanced legal AI platforms to conduct research, evaluate AI-generated content, and draft legal documents with appropriate oversight. Core competencies include prompt engineering, verification of authorities, evaluation of AI-generated work product, and the ethical responsibilities associated with AI-assisted lawyering. Through hands-on exercises, students integrate AI tools with traditional legal methods to produce accurate, responsible, and practice-ready work product.
