Financial and Accounting Basics for Lawyers

Course Description

This course covers the basic concepts of finance and accounting. It is intended for students with no prior experience with finance or accounting. It covers accounting statements, financial statement analysis, time value of money, risk versus return, valuation, and financial instruments. Emphasis will be placed on how these concepts come up in legal practice, in both transactional and litigation settings. Credit/No Credit only. No cert or Cardin.
